Here at Paws and Claws, our volunteers help us to keep our organisation running so that we can continue to rescue and re-home animals.
Whether you're on vacation, visiting, or simply looking for some quality time with a furry friend, the Paws and Claws shelter dogs are always eager for an adventure. Taking them out gives these dogs a chance to experience life outside the shelter and helps us learn more about their personalities, which is essential for finding their forever homes. Just stop by the shelter anytime between 9 AM and 3 PM, and we'll pair you with one of our wonderful shelter dogs. We provide water, sunscreen, and poop bags for your convenience. Whether you prefer a short stroll, a long walk, or a hike, every bit of time spent helps!

Volunteers agree to adhere to Paws and Claws policies and procedures and follow the instruction from Paws and Claws management and staff at all times.
Paws and Claws adheres to Government regulations for workplace behaviours and practices, including the Workplace Health and Safety Act, and Discrimination Act and does not tolerate bullying and harassment. In addition, Paws and Claws Management has imposed a number of additional restrictions for personnel working within the organisation;
The minimum age to commence volunteering at Paws and Claws unsupervised is 18 years of age.
The Volunteer must cease work at Paws and Claws when directed by Paws and Claws Management.
