Nova
4 year old Alaskan Malamute | 30kg
Nova could not be cared for by her owner, so she was brought into Paws and Claws. Although cheerful and happy, Nova does have some underlying health issues that will need to be considered before adopting her. She does have hip dysplasia; now she can get around just fine, can go for relaxing walks, swims and she is happy chilling out in the air con. We are putting together a pain management plan which includes supplements for her so that she is as comfortable in herself as possible. Her new owner would have to be onboard with her ongoing pain relief. The amazing Dr Andy has been seeing Nova regularly, providing treatments such as shockwave therapy and laser therapy. I know it’s a lot to take on but she is well worth it. Even though she had issues, we weren’t able to say no to that face we knew we had to help her.
